Install & deploy/Microsoft Marketplace deployment
Deployment Guide

Microsoft Marketplace deployment

From the marketplace listing to your live integration workspace, follow these eleven steps to find, deploy, and open iQBus for the first time. The installation is automatic and takes less than 30 minutes end to end.

Get it on Microsoft Marketplace iQBus marketplace.microsoft.com/en-us/product/cerebrumcity.iqbus Open listing
Before you start. You need an Azure subscription you can deploy into, with rights to create a resource group and a managed application. You also need a decision on which AI option you want, see AI deployment options, because the wizard asks once and the answer cannot be changed afterwards. Finally, have the CIDR ranges of any existing VNet you plan to peer with, so the range you pick here does not overlap.
Part 1: Marketplace & Deployment
1
Step One
Find iQBus on the Microsoft or Azure Marketplace

Log in to the Azure Portal at portal.azure.com. In the search bar at the top center of the screen, type Marketplace and select the Marketplace service from the results, it is represented by a cloud shopping bag icon.

Once inside the Marketplace, type iQBus in the search bar and select the iQBus listing from the results. Searching by name takes you straight to the product, and the card at the top of this page opens the same listing directly.

GETTING TO THE WIZARD 1 Sign in portal.azure.com Use the subscription you 2 Portal search Marketplace Open the Marketplace service 3 Marketplace search iQBus Open the iQBus listing 4 Overview page Pick Subscription and Plan Create

On the listing's Overview page, choose the Subscription you want to install into and select the appropriate Plan. Then click Create to open the deployment wizard.

The wizard has four tabs: Basics, AI Settings, Networking, and Review + create. Steps 2 through 5 below walk through them in order.

2
Step Two
Basics, Name and Place Your Deployment

The wizard opens on the Basics tab. There are five fields, in three groups. Everything on this tab is fixed once the deployment starts, so read it before you click through.

Create iQBus DEPLOYMENT WIZARD Basics AI Settings Networking Review + create PROJECT DETAILS Subscription* Production Subscription Resource group* (New) rg-iqbus-prod Create new INSTANCE DETAILS Deployment region* (US) East US 2 MANAGED APPLICATION DETAILS Application Name* iqbus-prod Managed Resource Group* rg-iqbus-prod-resources Previous Next Review + create
FieldWhat to enter
SubscriptionThe Azure subscription that will own and be billed for the deployment. Only subscriptions you can deploy into are listed.
Resource groupThe resource group that will hold the managed application object. Use Create new and give it a name you will recognise, this is the first place you will look for your installation later.
Deployment regionThe Azure region the iQBus infrastructure is provisioned into. Pick the region closest to the systems iQBus will integrate with, or the one your data residency policy requires.
Application NameThe name of the managed application itself, and the name shown in the resource group. Lower case, no spaces.
Managed Resource GroupThe second resource group, created by Azure to hold every resource that powers iQBus. It is pre-filled from the Application Name and you can edit it. This group is managed by the application, you have limited access to what is inside it.
Write down two names. The Resource group and the Application Name are how you find your deployment once it finishes. In the example above they are rg-iqbus-prod and iqbus-prod, and the managed resource group follows as rg-iqbus-prod-resources. Steps 8 through 11 use all three.

Once the five fields are filled, click Next to move on to the AI Settings tab.

3
Step Three
AI Settings, Choose Your AI Option and Its Region

The AI Settings tab asks two questions. The first decides where the AI Accelerator gets its model from. The second decides which Azure region that model is deployed into, which is a separate choice because not every Azure region offers every AI model deployment.

Create iQBus DEPLOYMENT WIZARD Basics AI Settings Networking Review + create AI installation type* Private AI AI services region* East US 2 NEW Previous Next Review + create
AI installation type
OptionIn one line
Private AIThe model is deployed into your own Azure subscription, so nothing leaves your network and the model capacity lands on your Azure bill. Needs Foundry quota in place beforehand.
Managed AINo AI infrastructure is provisioned. iQBus calls the AI Accelerator hosted by Cerebrum City, capped per installation. For subscriptions that cannot provision model capacity of their own.
No AINothing is provisioned and the AI Accelerator is unavailable in this installation. Suits production environments where no development work is done.

The full comparison, including quotas, limits, billing and data boundaries, is in AI deployment options.

!
This choice is made once and cannot be changed later. An installation that might ever need the AI Accelerator should not be installed with No AI.
AI services region

The AI services region is asked separately from the Deployment region on the Basics tab, and it does not have to match it. Not every Azure region hosts every AI model deployment, so if the region you deployed into cannot serve the model, you pick a region that can, and the rest of your infrastructure stays where you put it.

Choosing a region: keep it the same as the Deployment region when that region supports the model, it is the shortest path and keeps everything in one place. Move it only when you have to, or when a data residency rule tells you where model traffic may go. With No AI the region is not used.

Click Next to continue to Networking.

4
Step Four
Networking, Pick a VNet Address Range

On the Networking tab, select a VNet address range for the private virtual network iQBus uses internally. Choose a preset that does not overlap with any existing VNet you plan to peer with.

Create iQBus DEPLOYMENT WIZARD Basics AI Settings Networking Review + create VNet address range* Preset A (10.10.0.0/16) THE FOUR CHOICES Preset A 10.10.0.0/16 Preset B 192.168.0.0/16 Preset C 172.16.0.0/16 Advanced Define your own CIDRs Previous Next Review + create
Choosing the right preset: If you plan to peer this VNet with another existing Azure VNet, make sure the CIDR range you select does not overlap. When in doubt, use Advanced to specify a custom range that fits your network topology.

Once your selection is made, click Next. Azure validates the configuration before presenting the review screen.

5
Step Five
Review + Create, Agree and Deploy

The Review + create tab has two parts. At the top is the Co-Admin Access Permission agreement, which you must accept before the Create button becomes available. Below it is a read-only summary of everything you set on the first three tabs, together with the pricing for the plan you selected.

Create iQBus DEPLOYMENT WIZARD Basics AI Settings Networking Review + create Co-Admin Access Permission By checking the box and clicking Create you give the template provider administrative-level access to one or more Azure resources, in order to provide support and management services for the template. Before clicking Create, confirm the Resource group, Application Name, AI installation type and VNet address range are what you intended. None of them can be changed once the deployment begins. Use Previous to go back while you still can.

When everything reads correctly, tick the agreement and click Create. Azure begins deploying the iQBus infrastructure into your subscription.

6
Step Six
Monitor the Deployment

After clicking Create, Azure immediately opens the Deployment overview screen. You will see the status Deployment is in progress while Azure provisions all the infrastructure components that power iQBus.

Microsoft.iQBus | Overview Deployment is in progress iqbus-prod · Production Subscription · rg-iqbus-prod Resources: some succeeded, the rest still provisioning Refresh Cancel
⏱
This process typically takes several minutes. You can leave this screen open and use the Refresh button to check the latest status, or monitor progress via the Notifications bell icon in the top-right corner of the Azure Portal. Do not attempt to access the application until the deployment has fully completed.

7
Step Seven
Deployment Complete

When the deployment finishes, the status changes to Your deployment is complete. At this point your iQBus infrastructure is live and ready.

Microsoft.iQBus | Overview Your deployment is complete iqbus-prod · Production Subscription · rg-iqbus-prod Go to resource

Click Go to resource to navigate directly to your deployment, this takes you straight to the resource group where your managed application is listed. Alternatively, you can locate it at any time by navigating to the Resource group name you defined in Step 2.

Infrastructure is deployed. Continue with the steps below to locate your application URL and access your iQBus integration workspace for the first time.

Part 2: Accessing Your Workspace
8
Step Eight
Open Your Resource Group

Open the resource group you named in Step 2. Inside it you will find a single resource of type Managed application, this is the top-level object representing your iQBus installation.

rg-iqbus-prod | Overview RESOURCE GROUP NAME TYPE LOCATION iqbus-prod Managed application East US 2 One resource. Everything else lives in the managed resource group, which is reached from here.
What you are looking for: a resource listed with the type Managed application. In the example above it is named iqbus-prod, yours will carry the Application Name you set in Step 2.

9
Step Nine
Open the Managed Application & Navigate to Its Resource Group

Click on the Managed application resource. On its Overview page, look to the upper-right of the Essentials section for a field called Managed resource group. This is the second resource group, the one that holds all of the application's infrastructure. Click the link to open it.

iqbus-prod | Overview MANAGED APPLICATION ESSENTIALS Resource group rg-iqbus-prod Status Succeeded Location East US 2 Subscription Production Subscription Managed resource group rg-iqbus-prod-resources Click this link to open the managed resource group
Tip: the managed resource group name is the one that was pre-filled on the Basics tab, rg-iqbus-prod-resources in this example. You do not need to remember it, simply follow the link shown in the Essentials section.

10
Step Ten
Locate the Front-End Web App

Inside the managed resource group you will see all the Azure resources that power iQBus, including databases, a service bus namespace, storage, a function app, and more. Look for an App Service resource whose name contains the word front. This is the web application you will use to configure and manage your integrations day to day.

rg-iqbus-prod-resources MANAGED RESOURCE GROUP NAME TYPE iqb-front-zsz63wzwqb App Service this is the one iqb-api-zsz63wzwqb App Service iqb-fn-zsz63wzwqb Function App iqb-sql-zsz63wzwqb SQL server iqb-sb-zsz63wzwqb Service Bus Namespace iqbstzsz63wzwqb Storage account Every resource carries the same unique suffix. Sort by Name and the front-end App Service is easy to spot.
What you are looking for: an App Service whose name contains front. In this example it appears as iqb-front-zsz63wzwqb. Click on it to open the resource.

11
Step Eleven
Find and Bookmark Your Application URL

On the Web App's Overview page, look to the upper-right of the Essentials section for the field labelled Default domain. This is the permanent URL for your iQBus management console, the address you and your team will use every day to access your integration workspace.

iqb-front-zsz63wzwqb | Overview APP SERVICE ESSENTIALS Resource group rg-iqbus-prod-resources Status Running Location East US 2 Subscription Production Subscription Default domain iqb-front-zsz63wzwqb.azurewebsites.net This is your iQBus application URL. Copy it and bookmark it.
Copy and bookmark this URL. It will look like https://iqb-front-[unique-id].azurewebsites.net. Save it in your browser bookmarks and share it with anyone on your team who needs access.
⏱
First launch takes a moment. The very first time you open your application URL, iQBus needs to initialize your environment in the background. The page will sit on a loading screen until everything is ready, do not refresh the page or close the tab. Once it completes you will be prompted to begin provisioning your environment. This one-time wait only happens on the very first launch.

You're all set

iQBus is deployed and ready for configuration. If you run into any issues our support team is happy to help.
