A better alternative to AWS

The better alternative to AWS integration for Microsoft estates.

On AWS, integration is EventBridge, Step Functions, Lambda, Amazon MQ and B2B Data Interchange — assembled by you, metered per event, transition, request and document. iQBus is one ESB in the Azure tenant your Microsoft estate already lives in.

Why teams choose iQBus over AWS integration services

Three things that change on day one.

Stay in the tenant you already trust

Your identity is Entra ID, your data is in Azure SQL and Microsoft 365. iQBus runs in that same tenant — no cross-cloud identity federation, no second compliance boundary.

A bus, not a toolkit

EventBridge routes events, Step Functions orchestrates, Lambda transforms, Amazon MQ queues, B2B Data Interchange parses X12 — you wire them together. iQBus is the bus: routing, pipelines, maps, adapters, partners and tracking in one product.

Per core, not per event

AWS integration services meter per event, per state transition, per request, per broker-hour and per transformed document. iQBus is licensed per core; Starter has no licence fee.

Side by side

AWS integration services and iQBus, capability by capability.

What each one meters, where it runs, what you build yourself and what comes in the box.

Build your estate

Pick what your estate needs. See what it takes on AWS integration services — and on iQBus.

On AWS, integration is assembled from primitives, each with its own meter and console. Tick what your estate needs and count the services you would wire together — then look at the iQBus column.

Your estate needs…

On AWS integration services you set up
    On iQBus you configure

Service counts follow AWS documentation for B2B Data Interchange, Transfer Family, EventBridge, Step Functions, Lambda, API Gateway and AppFlow; each is metered separately (events, transitions, requests, documents), so no combined dollar figure is shown. One cloud boundary is easier to defend than two.

A Microsoft estate that integrates on AWS carries two identity systems, two network edges and two compliance stories. iQBus keeps integration inside the Azure tenant you already govern.

When AWS is the right call

If your applications, identity and data already live on AWS, building integration there with EventBridge, Step Functions and B2B Data Interchange is the coherent choice. iQBus is for estates whose centre of gravity is Microsoft — Entra ID, Azure, SQL Server, Microsoft 365 — where a second cloud boundary buys complexity, not capability.

Is iQBus a real alternative to AWS integration services?

For a Microsoft-centred estate, yes. AWS offers primitives — EventBridge, Step Functions, Lambda, Amazon MQ, AppFlow, B2B Data Interchange — that you assemble into an integration layer. iQBus is a complete enterprise service bus that runs inside your own Azure tenant: ports, adapters, pipelines, XSLT 3.0 maps, pub/sub routing, EDI and HL7, a flow tracking dashboard and in-tenant AI.

How are AWS integration services priced compared with iQBus?

AWS meters each service on its own unit — events published, state transitions, requests and duration, broker-hours, documents transformed — per AWS's pricing pages. iQBus Starter has no licence fee; Grow and Enterprise are licensed per core, with no per-message metering, and the Azure it runs on is billed to your own subscription.

We are a Microsoft shop. Why does the cloud matter for integration?

Integration touches every system, so it inherits every boundary it crosses. Integrating on AWS means federating Entra ID to IAM, a second network edge and a second compliance scope. iQBus runs in the Azure tenant you already govern, with Entra ID and OAuth 2.1.

Can iQBus still talk to systems on AWS?

Yes. iQBus connects over API, SFTP, file share, SQL, queues and the adapters in its library, which grows every week, so applications hosted on AWS or anywhere else are endpoints like any other.

      How do I try iQBus?

Get iQBus from Azure Marketplace and create it in your own subscription. Starter has no licence fee, ever — you pay only your own Azure. Or talk to an Integration Architect first and we will map your estate to iQBus with you.
